LaNae Valentine, Director LaNae has a doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and specializes in working with women struggling with depression, anxiety, perfectionism, body image and eating problems. She is particularly interested in supporting women to find their voice, recognize their worth, and realize their strength. LaNae and her staff at Women’s Services & Resources support the students at BYU in successfully completing their education and in becoming future leaders in their homes and communities. Personally, LaNae enjoys friends and family, good books, cooking and eating yummy foods, cycling in the canyons especially through the autumn leaves doing yoga and getting Thai yoga massages.

eterson, Office Manager Elise May Peterson is grateful to be working at Women’s Services! She graduated from BYU in Elementary Education this last April and is happy to be back at BYU working with the remarkable students and administration here. She loves spending time with her husband Christopher and they are looking forward to welcoming a baby girl to their family in December! She loves being with people, playing music, doing crafty things, and enjoying life and would especially love to meet you when you visit the Women’s Services and Resources office.
Brooke Schultz, Office Specialist. Major: Music Education Feels happiest when: see previous Hopes to: teach music and choir in an inner city school and be a wife, mother, grandmother and woman for a very long time. She is also a wedding and lifestyle photographer and is passionate about capturing relationships in a unique, authentic way. Brooke hates socks and pencils, has no middle name or sisters and still cannot quite bring herself to follow a recipe when cooking. She loves bookstores, the sound of dishwashers, gospel music, and her husband Jared.
Candace Woodbury, Nutrition Consultant Candace was born in California, and has always loved being outside in the sun. She is a senior in BYU’s Dietetic Program, and loves to cook. She enjoys traveling and trying new things. She dreams of traveling across Europe and eating “real” European chocolate. Her passions include playing sports, listening to music, and strumming the guitar. When she grows up, she dreams of becoming a registered dietitian at a children’s hospital, and being a mom. She feels privileged to be part of the staff here at WSR and looks forward to meeting all the amazing women that stop by.
Lisa Hansen, Marriage and Family Therapy Intern Lisa Hansen is an Intern in the Women’s Services and Resources Office. She is a graduate student in the department of Marriage and Family Therapy, with interests in counseling clients with depression, anxiety, same-sex attraction, eating problems, spiritual dilemmas and relationship problems. Lisa is available for confidential consultations and helps lead the “Fed up with Food” support group.
Carly Ostler, Marriage and Family Therapy Intern Carly bleeds red! She did her undergrad at the U of U and is seeing a bluer side of things in the Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy Program at BYU. She enjoys traveling to new places, baking lots of delicious treats, and anything that makes her think. Carly feels it is her personal mission to spread the message of self-love and acceptance to all women (and men) and loves helping people help themselves. She leads the Fed-Up with Food group on campus with Lisa as well as the Body Image support group. She is available for short-term consultations at Women’s Services and Resources Center most days of the week.
Bianca Rosenhan, Events Coordinator Bianca was born and raised in the potato capital of the world, Blackfoot Idaho! She is the youngest of three kids and currently a Senior here at the lovely BYU studying Recreation Management with an emphasis in Commercial Recreation. She has high hopes of organizing special events for her career and is shooting to be involved with the Olympics at some point in her life. Bianca loves to have fun and laugh until her stomach gets a good workout. She loves loves loves to eat! Especially if chocolate or potatoes are involved. Bianca is easy going and loves to listen to other people talk about their lives and help them solve their problems.
Tiffany Wallace, Designer Tiffany is a senior at BYU studying journalism with an emphasis in new media and design. She likes blogging, the twitter, and designing whenever she can in her free time. She worked at Family Circle Magazine in New York City this past summer where she developed a love for broadway shows and new york style pizza. However, her favorite place in the world is her hometown of Idaho Falls. She is the oldest of three and her little brother is currently serving a mission in Mexico City. She is a huge fan of laughter, a good chick flick, and summer weather. After graduation she hopes to move to Washington DC and start a career in marketing and design.
