Volunteer Opportunities

Leadership, Mentorship, & Volunteer Opportunities

Women’s Services & Resources has several volunteer opportunities. If you are looking for an opportunity to fine-tune your leadership skills, we invite you to consider applying to become a WSR Program Ambassador. As an ambassador, you will help with event planning, promotion, and volunteer coordination. Responsibilities include occasionally assisting the Events/Campaign coordinators with planning upcoming event, running errands and helping with various needs during your assigned campaign or event, coordinating volunteer efforts and training volunteers that will be promoting and participating in the events, and promoting event/campaign on social media by handing out flyers and spreading word of mouth prior to the campaign. Campaign Ambassadors will be required to provide 1-3 hours the week prior to the event, and up to 10 hours during the official campaign week (dependent on the campaign).

Or, if you would like to just volunteer for an hour or two, WSR is always looking for volunteers to advertise or help at our events.

If you are interested in mentoring the next generation of women, we invite you to consider volunteering to be a Girls Empowered Mentor. Girls Empowered is a volunteer program focused on promoting self-esteem in young girls in the local community. As a mentor, you will provide support, guidance, friendship, and a positive example to these young women through one-on-one and group activities (email wsr-coordinator@byu.edu for more information).
